Privacy Policy

FiercePitch ("we," "us") makes a softball training app for athletes and coaches. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We built FiercePitch to collect as little as possible.

1. Information we collect

Account info — your name, email, role (athlete or coach), and for athletes your playing position and (optionally) birth year so we can tailor training and apply age-appropriate safeguards.
Training data — workouts you complete, your daily readiness check-ins (energy, soreness, mood), streaks, XP, levels, badges, and any ratings or notes you add.
Team & social data — team membership, accountability partners, and circles you join, plus the invite codes you use.
Device & usage — basic app and crash diagnostics to keep the app working. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

2. How we use it

To generate your personalized daily workout and track your progress.
To show coaches the participation and progress of athletes on their own team only.
To run streaks, levels, badges, and challenges.
To send you the notifications you opt into (reminders, coach messages).
To fix bugs and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party behavioral advertising.

3. Children's privacy (COPPA)

FiercePitch is used by athletes as young as 10. For users under 13 in the United States, we require verifiable parental consent before creating an account, collect only the data needed to provide the service, never serve behavioral advertising, and never make a child's wellness check-in detail public. A parent or guardian may review, request deletion of, or refuse further collection of their child's information at any time by emailing privacy@fiercepitch.app.

4. Who can see your data

Your coach can see your training and readiness — but only if you're on their team, and only their own team.
Accountability partners and circle members can see your streak, level, XP, and badges — never your readiness or soreness check-ins.
Service providers. We use Supabase to host our database and authentication. They process data on our behalf under their security and privacy terms and don't use it for their own purposes.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect safety.

5. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by per-row security rules so users can only reach data they're permitted to, and passwords are never stored in plain text. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting young athletes' data seriously.

6. Your choices & deletion

You can edit your profile, control notifications, and end accountability partnerships at any time. You can delete your account — and all associated data — from within the app (Settings → account) or by emailing privacy@fiercepitch.app. We honor deletion requests promptly.

7. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data, retaining only what's required for legal or security purposes.

8. Changes

If we update this policy we'll change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
